The Sierra summer construction crew has been busy this off-season focusing their expertise in West Bowl. The Baja Grill & Corona Cantina are a favorite hang-out for guests on beautiful blue sky days – something about lounge chairs, beers with lime slices, and fish tacos. It’s like a little piece of Mexico right here in Tahoe.

New this winter, guests will be able to relax on an 1,800 square foot patio surrounded by a railing made from native lumber. Also built over the summer is a covered outdoor pagoda that will house the taco grill and a satellite bar that will serve draught and bottle beers.

Upgraded facility in West Bowl
This is, of course, just a preview. Imagine relaxing on the patio with a Corona in your hand, a fish taco on your plate, and a view of the Bashful terrain park as you look up the mountain. The new deck will also enable more live music in West Bowl and will enhance the 3rd Annual Salsa Showdown on April 10, 2010.
A big thanks to the Sierra summer construction crew – here’s a pic of Steve, Adam and Paul.

Call me a ski bum. It would be fair. I came to Tahoe right out of college (as a Religion major no less!), started waiting tables to make it through the winter and had every intention of heading home come summertime to get a real job. That was almost 10 years ago...
I moved to the Truckee - Tahoe area three years ago from the San Francisco Bay Area to escape city life and live in the place I had always loved to visit. When I used to visit the Tahoe area, it was always very hard to leave. It finally became time to make Tahoe "home"...
